V-Comdirect puts your product directly in front of distributors. They don’t have to go online to find your product. If they want a product that you have they will see it straight away. V-Comdirect shows the product and then tells them who you are.
How many distributors will receive a catalog?
That depends on the product line the catalogue covers and on the distributor market we target. The number of receiving distributors ranges between 5,000 and 20,000.
Why should we introduce V-Comdirect if we have a website where people can search for product and shop?
Cataloguers serve two target groups. One searches and purchases comfortably on line, the other group doesn't. It is the latter group that V-Comdirect has been developed for. The Internet is very competitive and companies have to spend a lot of money to get traffic to their site. V-Comdirect takes their products into peoples' homes or offices rather than making them visit a site online.
V-Comdirect also allows V-Comdirect users to benefit Internet functionality without having to be connected. Using V-Comdirect to look for product information is also much more convenient.
We have an online catalogue that people can download, why use V-Comdirect?
Again you are asking people to come to your site to download a static PDF document. With V-Comdirect, customers can click on a button and get updated searchable product information instantly. This is much more convenient and easier to download and use than a PDF file.
How does the updating work?
You as a V-Comdirect client have your own private and secure section on the V-Comdirect administration website. You use this tools section to do your updates and to upload the new information to our secure V-Comdirect server.
Once the update has been completed you invite your V-Comdirect users via e-mail to check for updates. The user then clicks on a "check for updates " button and receives the new V-Comdirect catalogue version within a few seconds. Note: that for this action the user will have to be connected to the internet.
Where is the V-Comdirect server based and how secure is that server?
The server is based in the U.S. and is hosted in a secure environment.
How will the buyer know how to use V-Comdirect?
When they insert the V-Comdirect CD the catalogue will automatically open up. What they will see then is like a website which they can navigate easily including instructions.
Who does the design of the V-Comdirect CD content, artwork etc?
We do that for you at no cost.
What kind of information can we display?
Basically images and text, pricing etc. In addition you can also place feature advertising on your company.
What if we have different pricing for different customer groups?
Each customer is allocated an ID number ( promotional product code ). This allows the system to recognize a customer and to allocate different pricing to different customer groups. You can manage the % discounts per customer group (V-Com only).
